Yes! Until we figure out how to import iTunes U programs directly into Audio Footnote, you can get your iTunes U programs to appear under Podcasts by clicking on the iTunes U episode, getting info on the file by going to the File menu and selecting Get Info, clicking on the Options tab and changing the Media Kind from iTunes U to Podcast. Sync your device and the iTunes U episode will appear under Podcasts in Audio Footnote. Note that it will also appear under Podcasts in iTunes. Click here for a video demonstration.
Yes! If you change the playback speed using the iPod/Music app on your device and then launch Audio Footnote, your playback speed setting will carry over as well. If you want to change the playback speed, you'll have to do it in the iPod/Music app...for now.
Your notes can be sorted and viewed by the date and time you recorded them, or by how far into the program (Time In) you were when you recorded the note.
Your notes for a specific audio program are deleted when that program is removed from the device. You can back up your notes by emailing them to yourself.
The ability to append notes is a feature that we are considering adding to a future version of Audio Footnote. Think we're on the right track? Contact us and let us know how much you'd like this feature or if you have other feature requests.
Audio notes are sent as Core Audio Files (.CAF). These files can be played on any iPhone or iPod Touch or on any Mac or PC using the latest version of Quicktime Player for Mac or Windows.
